How does VCM think about aligning investing based on values?
VCM considers sustainable investing an important part of being a global citizen. Sustainable investing is a long term approach that reviews environmental, social and governance factors (ESG) within investment products. We believe in bringing transparency to the underlying investment products without changing our proprietary investment methodology. VCM reviews the ESG rating of the underlying holds in our proprietary investments and periodically provides an overall ranking as determined by the Morningstar Globe® ranking methodology. While not all investment products are ranked today, VCM expects that the number of holdings to receive this rating will grow in time.
What is the Morningstar Globe ® ranking? Much like the Morningstar Star ® ranking, the methodology reviews investment products based on a sustainability rating system.
